Riding on the sea of belief
The mighty Throne of Faith
Guarded by the Cherub host
Above it the Serif choir sings
Glory, Glory, Glory
Lord God Almighty!
The birds of joy from the branches
of the tree of life
Warble their melodies from heart to heart
They feed on secrets, mysteries and wonders
And soar in limitless space
Some are they who care for the tree
Others understand
Some do as they are bidden
Others are aware
Let Thy wind blow over my soul
Stirring and raising the gifts deposited there
Make me sincere and let me open
Every door with the keys I am given
Since Thou hast caused me
to enter the realm of being
And shown me the paradises of oneness
Make me aware
A heart that turns to God in its anguish
A heart that receives God’s grace
A heart that loves every creature
A heart that suffers in peace
Such is the heart of the kingdom
Such is the heart of command
Such is the heart of power
Upraising all in every land
One chamber of my beating heart
Turns to God in prayer
Bearing all my sins and cares
The torment of my mind
Another hears the answer
Feels the flood of grace
Mercy and forgiveness
Everlasting peace
Another chamber opens
To let this bounty out
Give the world the blessing
Raising someone up
The last one takes the beatings
Feels another’s shame
Owns the sins and errors
To go to God again
Let me bow before my Lord
and supplicate Him
Let me kneel before my Lord
and listen to Him
Let me stand before my Lord
and obey Him
Let me then show my
everlasting gratitude to Him
Let me sing His praises
before the faces of His enemies
Let me startle to wakefulness the sleepers
Let me announce to the lovers
the glory of reunion
Let me deliver the message
to the souls who are lost
Let me gather with the sincere
in praise of Thee
I long to be a signpost, a lantern,
a signal fire and a star
Guiding all to the pathway to Thy Presence
Let me sing as the Seraphim sing
in praise of Thee
‘Glory, Glory, Glory Lord God Almighty’
Thou art the Glorious, the Most-Glorious,
the All-Glorious
With your heart in your hand
like a pail
Carry it into the light
Gather some gems
and precious things
To bring back into the night
Open the pail
with the greatest struggle
Maybe a little pain
Give these treasures away
Go with your bucket again
He is God, there is no God but Him
He it is who guides the lovers to perfection
He it is Who sends down His revelation
to the severed ones
He it is Who is the Cause of causes to those who believe in the Divine unity
He it is Who feeds the sincere
at a table sent from heaven
He it is Who raises the spirits
to their highest degree
It is He to Whom we supplicate
It is His Voice to which we harken
It is He Whom we arise and serve
It is He Who rewards us
He sends down to us all that we need
He wishes for us more than we can imagine
He raises us to places we cannot know
Places beyond our understanding
He wishes for us all good
He warns us against error
Why would we choose to worship another?
Where else could we seek help?
Who else would we serve?
Who other would we long to be near?
If you wish to be loved you must love
If you wish forgiveness you must forgive
If you wish for acceptance be grateful
If you wish to receive you must give
If you wish for glory be nothing
For eternal life you must die
Command comes to those who follow
Awareness to those who don’t try
Let me touch your heart and rejoice it
From the fountain where I drink
Let me touch your mind and illumine it
From the garden where I think
Let me touch your will and embolden it
From the pastures where I roam
Let me touch your soul and embrace it
As we journey home
My understanding is limited
by my understanding
Even as my sight is limited by the light
When the light becomes too bright
I can no longer see
I must press on to awareness
Of nothing else but Thee
My heart is a horn
My heart is a cup
My heart is a fountain
My heart is a target
I sound my horn as I supplicate Him
He fills my cup as I meditate
My fountain flows to my fellow man
As He gives to my target His pain
I turn to Him
He turns to me
I turn to them
They turn to me
If I turn to me
I have anger instead
If I turn to me
I am as good as dead
Give up your name
Enter paradise
Give up your will
Be content
Give up your life
Be resurrected
Give up your self
To live
Give up your mind
To know
Give up your heart
To love
Give up your soul
Be nothing
Each door is a paradise of oneness
With its gardens and fountains and trees
Each has a sun in its heaven
Each has a soft fragrant breeze
Give up your will for His
I you would find your self
Prepare your heart to hold the sea
If you would know your self
Love Him and only Him
If you would lose your self
Be sincere in all you hear
If you would meet His Self
Raise me from the world of limitation
To the world of enlightenment
From enlightenment to illumination
From illumination to awareness
Rescue me from time
Through pre-existence and eternity
To changeless invisibility
Let Thy Will be mine
Let my heart be Thine
Let this sign be a beacon
To souls who weaken
Spirit lets us read and understand
Not the words, but the meaning
Spirit lets us speak
Not opinion, but inspiration
Spirit lets us act
Not with purpose, but with faith
Spirit lets us accept
Not with resignation, but awareness
I try, I cry, I sigh, I die
As I move to another plane on high
Leaving a lesser world below
To a higher place I shall go
Climbing the ladder of will
Letting my knowledge be greater still
Faith will apply the lessons learned
Till I am aware of bounty unearned
