A call so loud that all on earth

Are made aware of a spiritual birth

Yet we prefer to search

A call so gentle and so near

Whispered softly in the ear

Yet we prefer ourselves

A call so clear to all

That from our own lips does fall

Yet we persist

A call which comes from deep within

Illumination may begin

And we surrender

To a Will much greater than our own

A Will by which all truth is shown

And we are content

Directing our steps to worlds concealed

Worlds which now may be revealed

And we are astonished

Moving only as directed

Wholly and fully connected

We may vanish

If we disappear from sight

It is because we now are light

O lonely one, who has lost his way

Forgetting even how to pray

He has openly declared His love for you

Love not yourself while this is true

That His Love may reach to you

Let your heart speak of His love

Rise to the world above

Fear not any earthly thing

You have a voice with which to sing

Who learned the teachings of love

From the tongue of Joseph

And who followed Moses

Through the night, into the day

Blessed the Christians

Who followed their Master

Breathing His Spirit

Into the world

Blessed the Muslims

Who understood their Book

Enlightening the world

Blessed are all those Who

In His Day have recognized Him

Followed Him and done His Bidding

These are they who have

Returned unto Him

When you meet a believer

Defer to that belief

Serve and strengthen it

For it is upon belief

That faith is erected

When you belittle the belief of another

It is your faith which suffers

Belief is beloved, blessed

Belief is the sign of your Creator

Placed within a soul

Unbelief is strengthened

By disunity among believers

When their fellowship is denied

When their love is obscured

By opinion

We are they who refused

To bow before Adam

Intoxicated by our own beauty

Beguiled by our intelligence

Despising humility

Judging all who we could not control

Defying our Creator

He who causes every soul

To taste of death

The Day of judgement has arrived

We must stand before Him

Giving our account

Receiving our due

Witnessing our folly

Finally recognizing His Forgiveness

Experiencing His Love and Mercy

Grateful for His Bounty

Rising by His Grace

To our eternal home

Let me return whence I came

To the light and the splendor

Before I had a name

Let me return with the gift

Which my ignorance has unveiled to me

That vision of Hidden Treasure

I have been allowed to see

Freed from the perils of plurality

Comparison and definition

Distinguished only by this

The limit of my state and condition

I look up from the dust with a single plea

That my faltering tongue and my trembling hand

May remember Thee

I have no strength no power nor might

That I should ever know wrong from right

Yet I am compelled by my love for Thee

To sing Thy praise

For all that Thou hast given to me

My throbbing heart wishes only to share

These living waters with all who care

I have nothing to fear or gain

It gives me neither pleasure nor pain

My spirit is soaring in ecstasy

If I deny it, it burdens me

Beauty is that which attracts the hearts

Due to the wisdom which it imparts

Do not approach it with lust and desires

Humble deference is what it requires

First see the beauty, then filled with awe

Find the value in what you saw

This is the secret of the sincere

Those who draw ever more near

Prizing the value of hidden treasure

Over the bounty of fleeting pleasure

Some things can only be told in riddles

Some things can never be said

All may be told from heart to heart

Though it may never be read

Open your heart when you read

That the words may come alive

Immerse yourself in the meaning

Give up your need to survive

Soar upon the meaning alone

Experiencing its ecstasy

This is the world of the spirit

Not some mere fantasy

Pursue the path of wisdom

The path to peace and composure

Go past the gruesome tests

Of demons, dragons and monsters

Until your heart is proven pure

And you enter the paradise of unity

Then spread your wings and soar

Experiencing all the joy

In the paradise of mysteries

Then up to the paradise of wonders

Knowing the bliss it imparts

Higher on the wings of holiness

Into the paradise of sanctity

Where ecstasy gives a new life

Then to the paradise of eternity

Where the angels work and play

Comfort is not the purpose of life

It is the purpose of death

Every animal must struggle

With each and every breath

The peace we seek is with the spirit

Not with this mortal life

We must transcend the animal

Leaving behind this strife

Spirit transcends the comfort we sought

A world of rapture, joy and bliss

When our spirit returns to eternity

We will experience all of this 

Mystics gather together to read

The verses of the heart

This is how they burn the veils

Which were keeping them apart

So they may be one in vision

One in will and wonder too

Becoming one in perfection

As angels of the kingdom do 

Teach me, O my soul

Illumine the mirror of my heart

Let me reflect the glory

Which each horizon may impart

Let me be humble before

Hearts other than my own

That we may shine with all

That each of us is shown

Cleanse it of the dust

From opinion and possession

Forgive my negligence

Every sin and transgression

Free my spirit that it may soar

In the atmosphere of light

Circling forever that Point

Of Majesty and Might

Where are pure hearts

Where we may abide

Where are courageous souls

Who sacrifice all

Where are free spirits

Of blinding light

Who come forth

And raise the call

Where are the keys

To release these spirits

From the bondage

Of earth and clay

How long must we wait

For their appointed day

Come forth from plurality

Shine upon the earth

With freedom and unity

Now is the time of birth
