O Lord! Make me poor

 in the things of this world

Make me poor in pride, poor in opinions

Let me sacrifice fame and position

Teach me to be a humble servant

Let my glory be in putting others first

Let me find ways to rejoice the hearts of all

Make me a source of 

inspiration and confirmation

Let Your Joy and peace encompass me

And Your Will move me

 When the body is humbled and withered

When the mind is humbled 

with exhausted opinions

When the heart is humbled 

with understanding

Then the humble soul will 

shine with awareness

The greater our vision the greater our sins

Like shadows cast by a shining soul

Keeping us humble until at last

We reach our intended goal

Nothing survives

So if you would survive

Be nothing

Everything comes to nothing

If you would have everything
